About this example

This line graph compares two illustrative series across five observation days. Control values are 12, 13, 14, missing, and 16; treatment values are 12, 15, 19, 24, and 28.

The NA at day 6 breaks the control line. It does not become zero and does not interrupt the treatment line. The day-8 control value remains an individual point; the chart does not connect across the missing observation.

Open the example and keep each series in its own Y column. Add meaningful units to the Y axis before exporting. These observations have no supplied uncertainty bounds, and the difference between the lines is not a calculated treatment effect or significance test.

Rows are sorted by X; missing Y values leave gaps. No statistical test is calculated. Open the example, replace the data with your own, and export the figure as SVG, PDF, PNG or TIFF.
