About this example
This pie chart divides 19 illustrative studies into four research-site categories. Counts are 13, 4, 1, and 1. Each slice uses its count divided by the full total of 19, without rounding the source values.
Displayed percentages are 68.4%, 21.1%, 5.3%, and 5.3%. They add to 100.1% because the labels are rounded independently to one decimal place; the slice geometry still uses the unrounded proportions.
Open the example and enter distinct categories that partition one meaningful whole. Duplicate category names and negative values block drawing; missing values are excluded and reported. The donut control changes the center opening while retaining the same proportions.
