About this example

Negative, zero and positive deviations share one numeric axis. This example starts in density mode, where each bar height divides its count by the accepted sample size and interval width.

Total bar area is one; the sum of bar heights need not be one. Inspect the bin table to distinguish density from counts, and do not interpret the display as a fitted normal distribution.

The editor reports bin boundaries, counts and probability densities; it fits no distribution. Open the example, replace the data with your own, and export the figure as SVG, PDF, PNG or TIFF.
